Recommendations

"The most potent fat burner available on the market"
"Results guaranteed"
"Guaranteed to add insane amounts of muscle"
"Results that should be illegal"
"Scientifically proven"

Do any of these slogans seem familiar? The ability of the industry too hinder your overall perception of a product becomes simple by including slogans that guarantee extreme results. There short, sweet, and most of the time our only reasoning to purchase one product when presented with countless alternatives. They appeal to the uneducated who are looking for the easiest and fastest solution which propose immediate results. The faster, the better, as we are all human and demand results that are claimed to pretty much happen over night..... Don't fall into these trap holes produced by the supplement industry which are usually false claims. Scandals are happening in EVERY industry due to false marketing information in hope of generating new consumers. A great article released by business insider shines light just on some of these corporations.:

Now your probably wondering what do the false claims of these industries have to do with recommendations?? Well id like to shine light on  products in the supplement industry that I consider to be beneficial to your health and well being. First lets dive in further and understand what the word Supplement actually means:

"Supplement: Something that completes or enhances something else when added." - Merrian-Webster

Read this definition over and over and once again to further engrave the fact that Supplements are not a NEEDED NECESSITY. It's in the definition itself , however the understanding that supplementation is prominent and the key factor to success in the fitness industry is generated by the industry itself. To survive and make a dollar, these organizations are  putting there own spin on this word. These organizations are making the consumer believe that these supplements come before that of a healthy well balanced diet. If you are consuming a non nutrient diet than supplementation might help you hit certain thresholds for the day, but consuming an over indulgence amount is not needed for those who follow a healthy microdense diet. As Eric Helms likes to say "Hitting over your vitamin and mineral requirements doesn't mean you get a golden star" Stick to whats best and consume REAL FOOD instead of whats put into a container and labeled with a fancy slogan. Now that we've generalized a better understanding of the supplement industry and know the true definition and purpose of supplements, lets dive into those which i consider having value.

REAL FOOD>SUPPLEMENTS - Rich Piana

1.Multi vitamin
I consider a daily multivatim a very beneficial supplement that also comes at a very low expense and packs an enormous amount benefits. This will ensure that even without following a very strict nutrition dense diet, you will still hit your daily requirements of micronutrients. This is just a small piece of the puzzle, but may contribute to a number of different functions and abilities of the body to perform every day tasks that may be overlooked. Many different healthy enthusiasts and researchers in the industry recommend this supplement because its a great product that "covers your bases". I highly recommend that you add this supplement to your stack.

2.Fish Oil
This will help with every day functions and from my own personal experience, provide a huge benefit for joint pain. In the past I've had serious issues with shoulder pain associated to playing football for 8 years along with genetic issues towards tissue formation in my shoulders. Over the years, my shoulders  gradually became worse, eventually popping out at the slightest movements  and even occasionally in my sleep. I eventually received double shoulder surgery to fix the problem, but like many things, solving one issue led to another. The issue was gone however i experienced small pains in my shoulder when i resumed lifting weights after the procedure. I did some research and stumbled across the benefits of fish oils, which lead to an enormous improvement in my shoulder pain. I was able to perform tasks with out the previous pain issues. Ever since this day, I've consumed fish oil daily and will always have this supplement present in my stack. Other fish oil benefits include heart health, reduction in inflammation, and healthy skin.

3. Protein Powder
Yes you read that correctly, i do incorporate protein powder into my every day diet. This may be the #1 supplement believed by individuals as a requirement to add on muscle. Please understand that getting your protein from powder or from the chicken breast residing in a Tupperware container in your fridge is no different. Yes, there is a small difference on the break down of the amino acids and rate at which the protein is absorbed however it is so small that it really shows no benefit nor disadvantage. One reason I consume protein powder every day is due to enjoyment, convenience, and price. Today you can get protein powder in pretty much any indulgent flavor that sways those cravings of consuming the real thing , which more times than not pack enormous amounts of unneeded calories. Protein powder is also very convenient when on a busy schedule and extremely cheap. When tight on a budget, protein powder is king to assure an adequate amount of protein is reached to promote muscle growth.

4. Pre-Workout
After trying your first pre-workout you may never go back. If you've ever experienced the clear focus and jolt of energy a cup of coffee provides, you will be astounded by what some pre-workouts are able to do. I consume this powder on a REGULAR basis however only when needed. Don't over consume this supplement and believe its needed on a daily occurrence or else you will never be satisfied. What I mean by this is that your tolerance to the ingredients will continue to build leading to a higher amount needed to experience the same results in comparison to the beginning. There are a number of different options out there but when choosing whats best, start off basic and work your way up to those with more stimulants. You will also need to realize that stimulants aren't for everyone and a very small amount may give you the same results as opposed to someone who prefers 3 scoops.

5.Fat Burner
...... Yes i recommend getting on a fat burner. Now you probably think that I've gone looney and may even close out of this article, but first HEAR ME OUT! I recommend taking a fat burner not for the sole fact of losing great amounts of fat or relying solely on this supplement to generate results. No i recommend taking a fat burner for the sole fact of providing a placebo effect. When on said supplement and following a "good diet" you will achieve great results but the results provided mentally by this supplement is worth it in my eyes. Every time you consume this productyou will be reminded of your goal and start the day off on a positive note, Its pretty much giving you "The why drive" I explain in my article "How to Lose weight". Don't abuse this supplement, the physically effects of these products is so small that it usually is a complete waste of money!! I view this product as much more of a mental boost to help aid in your ability to continue on with your journey.

6. Creatine Monohydrate
Plane and simple, nitty gritty cheap supplement to provide you with some serious gains. Keep it simple and consume 5 grams of creatine daily to assure your creatine levels are topped off. This will assure maximal muscle growth naturally, and also allow you to push harder in the gym. 5 grams a day might make the ultimate difference.

I hope you found these recommendations from my very own arsenal as something you may want to  include in your daily supplements. As always don't take my word for it, do your own research and find WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU!!
Good Day
