One of the hardest parts in life is accepting your current physique, instead of thinking about past and our future potential. LIVE IN THE NOW! The day you start lifting is the day you'll never be big enough or lean enough. What I mean by this is once your given the ability to change your overall physique or gain a better understanding of nutrition, you then hold the ultimate power of changing your physique. This power and potential is something many will go through in life and never experience even though the psychological power behind this can be seen as some of the most powerful. This is possible because not only does fitness change your overall mood and body composition, hormone shifts occur and an addiction takes place. You see results in the mirror day after day and continue towards achieving your ultimate goal.There are a number of different approaches to fitness accomplishments as different people have different journeys which include:
- Fat Loss
- Become active
- Choose healthier food options
- Muscle gain
- Health risk avoidance
- increased performance (sports)
- aiding another to make a lifestyl3 change
Achieving your goal physique brings with it many deep psychological presences, along with much devotion to the sport. Not only is getting as lean as possible not healthy, once you maintain this extreme shred, your body will start shifting hormone levels in the wrong direction. Testosterone will lower, cortisol levels will shoot through the roof along with a number of other issue. These issues are all correlated with quick mood shifts, prevalent anger, and lack of gym performance. Getting to extreme on this spectrum only become apparent to prove a point such as for a bodybuilding show or photo shoot. Other than these simple factors, maintaining such an extreme is nearly impossible and extremely determental on the individual.
Everyone's different as in their genetic sequence and the ability at which there body uses calories to either repair tissue, use it for energy, or store it for later use as fat. The main component of this breakdown is ones genetic sequence and ancestors. My genetics makes it extremely easy for me to put on weight but not always as what i deem as ideal. When i start over consuming calories I have to be extremely specific with how and what I incorporate into my body in aspirations of staying as lean as possible while still adding new muscle fibers. I fight my body daily in the gym as its extremly hard for me to build muscle. My personal metabolism is EXTREMELY slow which sucks in my mind, however could be seen as a huge perk in the eyes of others. I can go longer without eating as it takes longer for my body to break down food and decide what will be done with the calories. Personally i dislike this extreme because I love food and could eat consistently throw out the whole day. My issue sometimes is to take my mind off of food to assure my goals are met and I dont overindulge myself. Another easy way to identify your metabolism rate is to count how many time a day you take a #2. To be honest I usually only poop once every 2 DAYS!!! Many find this crazy but that's just how much time it takes for my body to process the food and ultimately use whats needed on a daily basis with association to achieving daily tasks and workouts.
When cutting, some food options have to become completely eliminated when achieving your ideal physique. When cutting down for a show, everything must be accounted for in an escalation fashion. What I mean by this is that you must progress to this body composition by constant manipulation to your overall diet, life, and training regimen. The first approach is typical a cut in total caloric expenditure on a daily basis followed by incorporation of cardio. These are the first and easiest tactics to manipulate and make frequent changes too weekly. Consistently diving down lower and lower at every sticking point will allow for the leanest physique possible. Once your final sticking point is met, coaches will typically drop out carbohydrates. That means no BREAD, POTATOES, PASTA, OATMEAL, CEREAL, ETC. Carbs are lifeeeeeeeee and this has to be the hardest transition to become adaptive too. However some may not need to drop carbs extremely low due to their bodies ability to use them readily for energy or secret them efficiently. It all depends on the individual and is different for everyone!
Going extremely low in carbs may seem difficult at first, but after a few weeks you become adjusted to this new lifestyle and focus more so on new food alternatives. This dieting tactic is so popular that its actually a typical diet for many known as the keto diet. This diet consists of the bodies recognition of the under dosage of carbs and its ability to burn these calories as energy and instead converts fat as energy. Yes that s right, it burns fat as energy! Yes it burns the consumed fat first, however once these stores are used up your body then searches for more fuel and in turn goes straight to fat. This diet has become well known due to its ability in declining health issue and improving overall mood. Maybe this diet is ideal for you to achieve your ideal physique.
When deciding your path remember that bumps in the road are common, but to stay on route because the final destination will be worth the rough times.
