Live in the now
In today's world people lose sight of their current situations and instead look as ways of achieving there future goals in and out. Don't get me wrong. keeping your eye on the prize is an essential, however to much focus may lead to failure. Not allowing yourself to think about other passions and topics of the world brings with it second guessing of your current performance. have fun with the friends and events that are happening now even if that means postponing a certain project and/or schedule to allow for. One day you'll look back at your life and realize that you missed out on these moments and wish you could go back in time and relive these moments. Don't be this individual and realize not every day is going to be a success and that's okay, but living every day in stress and worry is only detrimental to long term success.
I found myself preaching to the choir as I found myself in this predicament more times than I can count. Instead of going out and enjoying a drink with friends, I would rather stay at home, nestled away in my room and research the body. It's something i'm trying to overcome that may be completely altered in the near future. I often find myself second guessing my current diet and training regimen due to conflicting evidence supporting other teachings or ways of going about putting on as much lean mass possible. Im much different than anyone else as i'm determined to be different than the "average american" life after college and that includes getting a 9-5 job I hate. This will not be me and my main focus now is setting up a Journey which brings happiness with it day in and day out. I'm on the right track, however I need to step on the brakes and live in the moment with the people i'm surrounded with now that I may never be able to do again.
